AH&LA Legislative Action Summit
April 23-24, 2013
Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill
Washington, D.C.

Join lodging's top executives for AH&LA’s Legislative Action Summit (LAS).  LAS remains the most effective way to voice the strength of our industry, and in recent years, we have seen direct and impressive results from our visits to Capitol Hill.

In 2012, AH&LA was able to work with members to delay ADA pool lift regulations, push back against harmful labor rulings, defeat drastic cuts to GSA per diem rates, and fortify relationships with key policymakers.  Now, with the issues of immigration, labor, and tourism once again set to impact the industry, we need to join together on Capitol Hill to make our voices heard.  Our issues are too important to leave to others; it is your responsibility as a leader in our industry to attend.

No other conference offers the same level of access, insight, and influence. Join with other hotel owners, general managers, and CEOs to tell Congress why the lodging industry is vital.

This year, a panel of senior executives gives the industry's perspective on the potential impacts of Administration and congressional policies in the key areas of immigration, labor, and tourism.  Topic-specific panels dig further into each of these issues.  LAS will also include a luncheon tribute to J. W. "Bill" Marriott, Jr., executive chairman and chairman of the board of Marriott International, Inc., for his work developing relationships with presidents and legislators to highlight the positive impact of the lodging industry.  Hoteliers from across the country also will be honored with State Leadership Awards, and there is a special evening reception honoring outgoing AH&LA President/CEO Joe McInerney.
