Available incentives include tax credits, grants, property tax abatements, tax increment financing, job retention/creation incentives, state enterprise zones, and specialized programs designed to encourage rebuilding after a natural disaster. Some of these programs can be implemented on a retroactive basis contingent upon the eligibility criteria. Q. How do I become a corporate member?
A. AH&LA uses a sliding scale to determine the minimum membership criteria for complimentary corporate membership, with percentages of individual property commitment ranging from 40 to 75 percent annually. You may already qualify for a complimentary corporate membership!
Minimum Membership Criteria for Corporate Membership:
Multiunit Owned and/or Managed Companies
(i.e., Felcor Lodging Trust, Boykin Management Co., Interstate Hotel & Resorts)
- If you have one to 5 properties, then 75% of the total number of rooms need to be AH&LA members*
- If you have 6 to 10 properties, then 50% of the total number of rooms need to be AH&LA members*
- If you have 11 or more properties, then 40% of the total number of rooms need to be AH&LA members*
*This includes:
- properties that may already be members of AH&LA through a state association
- properties that may be under construction and due to open this year
- properties that rent rooms on a nightly basis
Q. As a corporate member how many corporate contacts are eligible to receive AH&LA information?
A. As many as five contacts per corporate membership receive AH&LA communications.
