Alexander Acosta

U.S. Secretary of Labor

As the Administration's leading voice on labor policy, Secretary Acosta has been a major supporter of AHLA's workforce initiatives including our apprenticeship program for hotel employees and funding of training programs for opportunity youth. Secretary Acosta previously served in three other presidentially appointed positions, including the National Labor Relations Board, the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice as the Assistant Attorney General and as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. Most recently, Secretary Acosta served as the dean of the FIU College of Law.
