Hotel Kitchen: Eliminating Waste from the Flow of Food
Please join the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) as they present the results from their efforts to prevent food waste within the hospitality sector. Results from this 4-month demonstration process include how employee attitudes changed as a result of participation, how organic production trended over the course of the four months, a discussion of the major drivers of waste reductions observed, and a showcase of some individual property success stories. WWF will also review a host of new resources available for the hospitality industry to fight food waste including how to effectively use the new platform HotelKitchen.org, a 5-video training series for employees, and download helpful posters and resources to start a program at your property – all completely free.
