ALIS SUMMER UPDATE WEBINARS FOCUS ON TRANSACTIONS AND FINANCE

The Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) Summer Update, comprised of two interactive Webinars taking place July 8 and July 15, will provide attendees with timely information from the transactions and finance arena. In addition, networking receptions will take place in Atlanta, the Washington D.C. area, Dallas, and Los Angeles, giving the hotel investment community an opportunity to network across the country. The first Webinar on July 8, How to Finance New Development, features Billy Brown, Medical Hospitality Group; Neil Freeman, Aries Capital, LLC; David Nelson, DRW Holdings; John Tisher, Sheppard Mullin; and moderator Daniel Marre, Perkins Cole, LLP. Receptions will take place July 9 in Atlanta at Ventanas, hosted by Legacy Property Group; and July 10 in the Washington, D.C. area at EVEN Hotel in Rockville, Maryland, hosted by the InterContinental Hotels Group. The second Webinar on July 15, The Transactions Outlook, features Arthur Adler, JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group; Tony Malk, Eastdil Secured; Kevin Mallory, CBRE Hotels; Daniel Peek, HFF; and moderator Sandra Kellman, DLA Piper. Receptions are scheduled in Dallas on July 16 at the new corporate headquarters of Omni Hotels & Resorts; and in Los Angeles on July 17 at the Loews Hollywood Hotel, hosted by Loews Hotels & Resorts. Both Webinars take place 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (EDT). All four of the receptions are taking place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. “ALIS Summer Update was established several years ago to offer a midyear pulse on important topics discussed at the January conference,” said Jim Burba, co-host of ALIS. “The interactive Webinars are a valuable way to provide top-line updates, and the receptions provide the ALIS hotel investment community in four major markets with the opportunity to get together, network, and do some deals in the summer.” The ALIS Summer Update is co-hosted by Burba Hotel Network (BHN) and the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA). Proceeds benefit the educational, research, and training missions of the Educational Institute (EI) of the American Hotel & Lodging Education Foundation (AH&LEF), AH&LA’s not-for-profit affiliate.
