Steven Okuley

Senior Vice President, Conferences & Events

Steve Okuley is the Senior Vice President, Conferences & Events, and serves as a member of the AHLA Operating Committee. In this role, Steve is responsible for driving the revenue growth, profitability, and innovation of our conferences and events portfolio.

Before joining AHLA, Steve served as the Director of B2B Customer Engagement & Communication at American Airlines, overseeing a wide array of events including tradeshows, internal meetings, and customer events.

Steve also has direct hotel industry experience from his time at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where he was the Director of Global Meetings & Events. He acted as a key liaison among various departments to deliver exceptional events that aligned with the brands’ strategic goals.

Steve holds a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation and brings extensive experience in managing the teams creating, designing, and executing high-impact events that enhance attendee engagement and drive growth.

Steve holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Dayton and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Colorado.
