Vice President, Executive and Strategic Initiatives
Maura Morton is Vice President of Executive and Strategic Initiatives at AHLA.
Her responsibilities include communicating and advising on AHLA’s long-term vision, working across all departments and programs within the Association, and collaborating with the broader Executive and Strategic Initiatives team. She executes internal and external tasks related to the completion of the Strategic Plan, maximizes membership engagement through special projects, and liaises with the AHLA Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
This role builds upon her previous position as Vice President of Communications, where she drove AHLA’s policy coverage, educated stakeholders, and supported executive messaging.
Maura has almost ten years of communications experience, much of it centered in the hospitality industry. Previously, she served Linda Roth Associates, Inc. where she was a senior publicist leading multiple high priority clients, including The St. Regis Washington, DC; The Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City; and Hilton Destination Marketing. Earlier in her career, Maura also managed the creation and implementation of all day-to-day communication strategies for Kimpton Hotels in the Mid-Atlantic region.
