The economy’s not pushing me off the edge
What a fitting week to be discussing the financials of the lodging industry - and with those who have the power to control it and indeed the most at stake as the government negotiates plans for an economic bailout. Overall economic factors were front and center in my mind as I made final preparations in Washington on Monday for the association's strategic planning meetings the next day.

What a (Wall Street) Week!
What an incredible week our stock market’s been putting many through. While I can relate in my own busy and bi-coastal activities over the past few days, I want to take a minute to explain why the lodging industry will NOT be affected nearly as badly as other industries by the current Wall Street situation.
