Tax Policy
AHLA supports pro-growth tax policy recognizing its importance in advancing a vibrant hotel and lodging industry. Pro-growth tax policy helps ensure that hotels retains the ability to reinvest back into properties, communities, and employees, contributing to a competitive marketplace.
Our Position
AHLA appreciates the importance of the Working Families Tax Cut in making key provisions that impact hoteliers permanent – such as the small business deduction, bonus depreciation, and expanded business interested deductibility. Together, these put the industry on a pro-growth footing and provide certainty amidst challenging economic conditions. AHLA also supports provisions that enable employees to take home more of their paychecks – like No Tax on Tips and No Tax on Overtime.
AHLA looks forward to working with Congress and the Administration on other tax policy priorities.
