Black Representation in Hospitality Industry Leadership

This report from the Castell project, now FORWARD, stresses that bridging the diversity gap requires transformative changes in policies and attitudes, focusing on genuine inclusion rather than superficial efforts. Black leaders believe that more focus should be placed on nurturing Black ownership and development in the hospitality industry. This involves rethinking capital flows and business practices to foster Black entrepreneurship in hospitality, which in turn could stimulate broader industry transformation. FORWARD's ongoing efforts aim to catalyze both Black and female representation in hospitality leadership, thereby creating a more inclusive and representative industry.
