AH&LA CALLS FOR BROADER REFORMS IN WAKE OF PRESIDENT'S IMMIGRATION ADDRESS

Washington, D.C. (November 20, 2014) - Following President Barack Obama's address this evening announcing an Executive Order to expand and extend programs for selected groups of undocumented immigrants, the American Hotel and Lodging Association called on the President, Congress and other stakeholders to work together towards comprehensive immigration reform.

AH&LA, 80+ HOTEL ORGANIZATIONS CALL ON HOUSE LEADERSHIP TO PASS TRIA NOW

Washington, D.C. (November 6, 2014) - In the wake of the midterm elections, the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA), along with more than 80 other hotel industry groups including hotel brands, management companies, real estate investment trusts (REITs), owners and state hotel associations, called on the House of Representatives to get back to work and pass the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (TRIA) in a letter sent to House leadership.

(October 16, 2014) - U.S. Representative Patrick Murphy (FL-18) today toured the DoubleTree Palm Beach Gardens as part of the American Hotel and Lodging Association's (AH&LA's) Heart of House hotel tour. The behind-the-scenes property tour provided Rep. Murphy an opportunity to discuss issues of job growth and career building in the hotel industry with staff and their employers, and to hear from them about issues they care about.
