AH&LA APPLAUDS HOUSE INTRODUCTION OF LEGISLATION TO STRENGTHEN THE ADA, STOP ‘DRIVE-BY’ LAWSUITS

WASHINGTON (October 21, 2015) – Twenty five years after the landmark Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) became law, AH&LA today endorsed the “The ADA Education and Reform Act of 2015,” H.R. 3765, introduced by Representative Ted Poe (TX-2). This legislation builds on the historic progress made by the ADA and restores the integrity of the law by addressing the unseemly practice of “drive-by” lawsuits.

MINAZ ABJI DONATES $10,000 TO AH&LEF ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGN

WASHINGTON (October 21, 2015) - Minaz Abji, executive vice president of Host Hotels and Resorts, Inc., contributed $10,000 to the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation (AH&LEF) 2015 Annual Giving Campaign. This is Abji's fourth donation at the Leadership Gift level. Abji previously made five consecutive donations at the six-diamond level. Abji is chair of AH&LEF's board of trustees and a member of the American Hotel & Lodging Association board of directors.
