Our members span the entire hospitality industry.
AHLA represents the broader coalitions of lodging and related-industry professionals from each of our membership categories, which include not only hoteliers but also industry vendors and suppliers, hospitality students and those who teach and mentor them, our partner state associations.

Academia membership is for colleges that offer hospitality programs.
Branded Property membership is for properties located in the continental United States that are affiliated with an established brand. AHLA defines a branded property as two or more properties that go by the same name, or properties affiliated with a recognized boutique collection.
Independent Property membership is for properties located in the continental United States that are not affiliated with an established hospitality brand.
International membership is for hotels located outside the continental United States (both branded and independent).
These three membership categories cover companies that own, manage, or franchise hotel properties.
Student membership is for students currently enrolled in a hospitality program.
Vendor membership is for companies that provide goods and services for the hospitality industry.
