Hear What Our Members Have to Say

"As a multi-unit, independent resort management company, it is critically important for us to ensure alignment with organizations such as the American Hotel Lodging Association who not only have our best interest as their priority each and every day, but lives and breathes it through their consistent actions on our behalf. Thanks to events such as Hotels on the Hill, Night of a Thousand Stars, The Hospitality Show, as well as the privilege to serve on national committees, AHLA has provided us as hoteliers a direct platform not only to effect change, but to stay ahead of the curve on upcoming technology, government affairs challenges, and much more. Simply put, we would not be as well positioned and strong as we are on the national level without being a member of AHLA!"

- COO, Delavan Lake Lawn Management

"AHLA’s unwavering commitment to advocating for the hospitality industry’s interests is truly commendable. Their local, state, and federal advocacy efforts have directly contributed to the well-being of our business. Whether addressing regulatory challenges, promoting technology and innovation or advocating for pro-tourism policies, AHLA has been a powerful voice that champions our industry’s priorities."

Frequently Asked Questions

If a company is majority owner of and manages a property, the dues investment will be at the owned rate only.  If a company is minority owner of and manages a property, the dues investment for that property will be at the managed rate.

Ownership groups and management companies are separate memberships. If the property owner holds an AHLA membership, that membership’s benefits apply to the owner and the property. Your management company must join separately as a Management Company member to receive corporate-level benefits. These include access to AHLA Committees, membership discounts for the corporate team on an array of offerings including events and AHLEI certifications, access to the member-only resources on our website – including those produced by AHLA’s Management Company Committee – and much more.

In the United States, contributions or gifts, including dues payments, to AHLA are not tax deductible as charitable contributions, but a portion may be deductible as a business expense. The portion of your dues that is not deductible as a business expense because it will be used for AHLA's lobbying and political activities on behalf of our membership, is 18% .
